
Co-Founder and Research Head
Juna Mathema is an entrepreneur and a researcher who firmly believes in contributing to the community, both professionally and personally. She has more than 2 decades of experience in running enterprises in Nepal. In 2002, she co-founded an advertising and research agency called Blitz, where she heads the research agency. She is trusted by national/ international agencies, and corporates to lead qualitative and quantitative research projects. Her other ventures include Sewa Securities (No.54), a stock brokerage company, Consult One which offers management consulting services, Golden Ratio, specializing in digital and multimedia solutions, and A.J. Investment, an investment company.
She has been deeply committed to promoting and nurturing entrepreneurship in Nepal for the past decade. She has organized numerous impactful programs focused on networking, mentoring, and fostering leadership and entrepreneurial skills. She is an elected Executive Committee Member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), and the Chairperson of the Startup & Innovation Forum at FNCCI. She is a Former Co-Chairperson of, the Women Entrepreneurship Development Committee at FNCCI and a Former Vice-President (Women) of the Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF). She has recently co-authored a study titled ‘Building Entrepreneurship Ecosystems in Nepal’, she was also one of the principal researchers in the study.
Her deep interest lies in the issues of reintegration of labour migrants as well. She has been conducting research studies on labour migration since 2012. She was one of the team members in drafting the ‘National Labour Migration Policy’ of Nepal. An article, which she co-authored, on ‘The Precarity of Women’s Short-Term Migration: A Case Study from Nepal’ was published in Sage Journal. Her entrepreneurial spirit and her work in labour migration research seamlessly intersect, creating a unique synergy. She is also the Vice-President of Teach for Nepal (TfN) a fellowship program promoting equal access to education. She holds a Master’s degree in both Business Administration and Sociology.
